We all know we can’t single handedly change the world, but we’d be silly not to try. Because, if enough of us try in one or two small ways every day to make someone else’s life simpler or sweeter, than we have in fact, changed the world.
I don’t have a lot of money to donate fancy items to charities. I can’t promise even 1 day a week to volunteer work. But, I can lend a hand here and there to help ease the load of a friend or family member.
Most recently, I’ve set up and have been managing an Etsy store where all items are donated by artists with big hearts (also changing the world, one baby step at a time!) and all proceeds benefit Zoe. Be sure to visit the store at: zoesheart.etsy.com And, stop by and read about Zoe here: zoesheart.com (another recent labor of love, and volunteer project)
My husband and I donate time and energy to the Paris Coffee Crusade, a wonderful organization where people can help send coffee to deployed soldiers in any branch of armed forces. I used to design/manage the site, but hubs has recently taken over. I continue to print all of their labels without charge.
We don’t consider these things huge, but every little bit helps!
Ask yourself, What little thing can I do to help make my world a better place?
Maybe you could donate to one of the places listed above, or just help spread the word!
