I’m tempted to start this post Dear Sony, I am a tech blogger who loves and adores all things Sony. I’m looking to buy a new desktop PC and now that I have seen the Sony Vaio J Series I am in love. Would you please send me the new Sony Desktop PC to review?… but, I won’t.
Seriously, Sony is my favorite technology brand, and honestly, I could really use a new desktop PC cause mine has been freezing up for over a year.
Sony Vaio J Series Features:
21.5″ HD Touchscreen. Need I say more? (1080p resolution)
Blue Ray DVD Player. We don’t have a TV in our room, which is where our desktop sits, so this would be PERFECT.
Space Saving. We live in a two bedroom duplex. As I mentioned, the home office is in the bedroom. This means our space to put a computer is very limited. I’ve been drooling over all-in-ones for a while now…
Powerful. With an 7200rpm drive, plenty of RAM and an NVIDIA® GeForce® series graphics, my husband would be in computer heaven. He hasn’t been able to play Unreal Tournament in over a year since our desktop PC has been on it’s last string… I also tend to run Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Elements, Macromedia Fireworks and Dreamweaver, Thunderbird, Firefox, Skype, Digsby, and a number of other applications all at once. Having something powerful enough to handle my geekiness with speed and elegance is a must.
Sony Desktop PC Downside:
Price. There were days when $1,100 for a new computer didn’t seem like much; that was before I had a three year old to feed. Granted the Sony Vaio J Series is all-in-one so there’s no need to buy a monitor, speakers, and other accessories, but still… I like being able to afford my PBandJ.
The J Series’ Big Brother, the Sony Vaio L Series
In case a 21 inch screen isn’t big enough, this Sony Desktop PC also comes in a 24″ model, the L Series.
What do you think? Should I scrimp and save for my dream computer?

Hi Erica.
I love their products and have been buying them since my days in the Army (had a great sound system back then).
I could not agree more. Sony is no phony, I like to say.
This certainly sounds and looks like a really fine system, particularly since it has HD resolution.
So… let us know how it performs and how much you all love it.
Send Sony that letter and ask them for a big discount in exchange for the great review that you'll provide.
HEHE. I've been commenting on their blog for a while, hoping for a little recognition ya know.
I personally won't buy any camera that's not Sony, and I'm a huge fan of their TV's, laptops, and sound systems. The Ford Flex I reviewed came with a Sony sound system…. I was in heaven all week!
