Welcome, fellow party-goers! It’s a beautiful day in North East Texas and I’m so happy you’ve stopped by to party with me! I’m new to this who blog carnival/party thing, but I’ve been following along with all you wonderful 5MinutesforMom.com readers and it looks like so much fun! And, seeing as how I’m not the technical assistant for the 5M4M crew I’ve been helping out a bit on the backend too… making sure it all runs smooth for everyone!
Let me introduce myself…
My name is Erica, in case you hadn’t guessed from my blog title. 
I’m the wife of an amazing man and web developing genius. We have a three year old son and we reside in the great state of Texas! I work from home, managing several home businesses… from graphic design to web development, short-run printing, and photography, I stay very busy! My specialty is WordPress theme modification. Aside from all the geeky stuff, I enjoy being outdoors; canoeing, gardening, hiking, flying kites and playing frisbee or basketball, crafting; papercraft, scrapbooking, sewing, and cooking; baking, and cake decorating.
Why EricaSays.com?
With a business in web development, specializing in WordPress installs, theme modification, and site management I run into a lot of people who are new to WordPress, and being online in general. I found myself spending several hours a week just answering people’s questions about plugins, image editing, and social media… At some point I decided that answering these questions in a public format would not only save me time, but could benefit a lot more people! And so, EricaSays.com was born.
This blog is a jumble of tutorials, recommendations, and plain ol’ geek-talk. If you’re looking for the best WordPress plugins, a glossary on WordPress Terms, or a beginners guide to WordPress, you’ve come to the right place! From time to time you’ll also find music recommendations, photography posts, and social networking tips. My goal for EricaSays.com is to coach the new blogger and provide some of the resources I wish I’d had when I started blogging.

Hi, visiting from the UBP. Great to met you. I lived in Texas for a while in the 70's and then again in the 80's. Love the outdoors and gardening. Had a farm in Missouri in the 90's, loved it. Well, I have just cracked open a nice chilled Tsingtao (Chinese) or failing that a Mythos (Greek) or Belgian beer would slip down nicely. One of the few joys of working for the European Commission in the mid 90s was that I got to taste an awful lot of excellent Belgian beers – just cannot remember their names

Word? Ick. I haven't used it in ages. Especially since the 2007 version
of Office. I just hate it. Now I just use the free open source Open
Office, or I use Google Docs.
