For a day or two now, my sites have been hinting that I should upgrade to WordPress 2.9. I am always leery of big updates, so I never jump on a bandwagon and upgrade on the first day. I wait and see if anyone is reporting problems…
It looks like WordPress 2.9 is stable! I’m currently running it on this site, and two sites for a client. Not a hitch.
I’d heard that the new version included an image editor, but I didn’t know what else to expect. However, Firas, over at Mike’s Life is on top of things and has a great post up with a video plus a list of all the wonderful things you can expect from WordPress 2.9!!

WordPress 2.9: New Photo Features Screencast
If you haven't already done it, hold off… there's a bug with scheduled posts that's affecting quite a few people including me… the posts never get posted.
