While surfing the waves of the world wide web, I often come across posts that make my day. I’ve decided to compile a list each week and narrow it down to my five favorite posts. I will then share these with you, most likely, on Fridays. Yes, I know today is Saturday, but I spent all day yesterday cleaning house…
Here goes: My five favorite posts from around the blogsphere…

Why Stories are an Effective Communitcation Tool for Your Blog
Darren Rowse is one of my favorite professional bloggers. I love that he posts often and it’s always good stuff. I also like his writing style, his sharing of stories, and the interaction found on his sites. He knows what it means to build a community and be involved on a personal level. His stories prove that.
Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was about eleven, but I must admit, I’ve had zero training. All of my wonderful, beautiful photos are results of pure luck. And possibly a little natural talent? Until reading Patty’s tutorial I had no idea about things like Aperture and ISO. Not only do I kinda ‘get it’ now, Patty was kind enough to look up my camera model and confirm that some of these manual options are actually on my camera!!
Help! I’m At A Lifestyle Design Crossroads.
Honesty is highly underrated and when it comes to blogging, is nearly non-existent. No one wants to admit they’re struggling for content or making little to no money. Lifestyle Design blogger, Gordie Rogers, shares his dilemma. The honesty is refreshing, and the conversation going on in the comments section is priceless! Thanks, Gordie, for your openness and willingness to share. It’s good to know we’re not alone!!
More than Twelve Steps. No Free Coffee.
SparkLabs is a brand new site focusing on creativity. I love bold, yet simple design. The writer’s posts strike a place in my soul and I have this sneaking suspicion that we’re alike in many ways. Kara’s post is beautiful!

Thanks Erica! I saw the first four, but the Sparklabs site was new to me.

Thank you again for a shout-out this week. It warms my heart to know that I have been able to help others this week.
And thank you! I think we all learned from your honesty and the feedback you received. This is one of the beauties of open communities… while it appears one is being helped, many are learning and reaping the benefits!
