Ok, so Helmi over at Huzzer Magazine just posted about Facebook’s newest sharing tool, and it’s just for bloggers! I’m so excited and can’t thank him enough for posting about it!
There are several plugins out there that will allow you to put a Facebook Share/Count box in your posts, but so far, I haven’t found any that really work. Now Facebook has it’s very own and it’s so simple to insert!
The code Facebook is offering can be found in the Facebook Share Tools. There are a few options for layout of the box/tool, but they keep it light and simple.
Personally, I wanted mine right-aligned and in my single.php file so it would automatically be on every post. I used the following code just below the content div in my php file.

Does this work for Blogger blogs as well? Can you @pricousins on Twitter or Angie Marion on Facebook and let me know?
Thanks for sharing this!

Angie,
I sent you a message on Facebook!
For the rest of you… Facebook did not specify that this button was only for WordPress, so I’m assuming it works for Blogger. I think you could either put it in the appropriate theme file, or insert it manually into each post.
Any Blogger users out there know the answer to this??

Great! I’m going to try this tonight. I currently have a “Share on FB” link in the footer. So maybe I need to move it next to the Tweet Meme button

I have one in the footer as well, via Sexy Bookmarks, which I love. However, the Retweet and Facebook buttons at the top seem much easier/faster to use.

Do u have any idea what i am doing wrong?
Thanks

Rob,
In my experience, the count box doesn’t show until someone has shared the post on Facebook. Until it’s been shared, it’s just the little blue bar with the FB logo and “Share” on it.
Hope that was helpful!
Thanks for stopping by!

Great stuff, so glad I came across this post and your website. I've just implemented it on my site and thanks also for the float:right idea.
Kris,
You are most welcome! I'm always happy to know when someone finds my information helpful.
Because I have two buttons, one for FB and one for Twitter, I also added a 5px margin to the left side of my FB share button. This keeps them from butting right up against one another.

Your post helped me exactly the way i needed, thank you! I used this in my website
Glad you found it useful! To me, it’s very simple and, it’s great not to need a plugin to accomplish this!
